Kennebunk Maine, a new destination

At the home of Susan Bloomfield and Kenny DeCoster in West Kennebunk, we enjoyed a luscious garden, huge shade trees, (including oaks not see around here) and great seafood. The hordes at the beach and on the roads were not a big hit, but we did find a relatively quiet beach to walk along. Of course we had the tour and viewed the Bush estate. Here are the highlight pictures. Thank you Susan and Kenny, a trip to be remembered for a long time.

Second Trip to Lake Champlain

JC is hard at work keeping the grounds nice.  Playing music with Randy and Pam is one of my favorite activities. Everyone watches the sunset at the water's edge. They are spectacular most of the time. And only 21 miles to Dannemora!

Summer Excursions in Priscilla with the Cats

After the landscaping was done, in June we packed up Priscilla and went to Lake Champlain, the first trip for us with the cats. We had a nice site overlooking the lake.
The boys managed to find comfort inside and out.

Landscaping with Nature Design

In Barton, VT, a landscaping outfit named Nature By Design owned by Peter LeBlanc, has spent two rainy days here, but has started an amazing transformation of our property. We replaced old tired beds with lawn and a nice Japanese Tree Lilac.

Introducing Thomas!

Spring has come and gone..... I think

This was a hard, long winter, but also a poor maple syrup season for us. Deep snow, cold temps. We have decided to not do sugaring anymore after many good years and good syrup. The entire setup is for sale, and the sugar shack will make into a nice outdoor campsite, by the pond, someday.

This spring has been spent preparing the RV, ( see post on Priscilla) and the jeep for our excursion this summer and for many summers to come.
This spring we have also introduced Thomas into our home. He is a 3.5 yr old Maine Coon Cat from a NH breeder. We are pleased to have skipped the kitten stage. Our 8 yr old MCC, Deets, took 2 days to get over the intrusion, and now loves Thomas as much we do. Hooray! pictures to follow.
